Unlike many French Fry concession trailers, our fries are not frozen, they are fresh-cut and twice-fried. American Fries' top menu items include, American fries, Chips-on-a-Stick (aka Tornado fries), and the Potato Dog (our version of the Corn Dog); all will be served with a wide selection of seasonings and dips from our unique Flavor Station. In addition, we sell specialty fries such as Bacon fries, Black Truffle fries and Disco fries (our version of the Canadian Poutine fries). We also offer Chicken Tenders with fries for customers that want to buy a value meal.
American Fries’ Flavor Station is a designated area with a distinctive assortment of delicious seasoning and dips. Our customers have the freedom to season their own fry order. We make it fun and interactive, by encouraging our customers to use social media to promote their creations by taking pictures of their fry orders and tagging them on Instagram and Snapchat.
My culinary experience began early as a short order cook in my grandparent’s restaurants. After earning a college degree in Computer Information Systems at Marist College, NY, I proceeded to work in this field on Wall Street for ten years.
On September 11, 2001, I was in building 7 and witnessed this horrific day first hand. This life-changing experience led me to reconsider my life journey and this is when I decided to follow my passion for cooking. I attended the French Culinary Institute (FCI) in SoHo, New York where I obtained a degree in Culinary Arts.
Every Fair season, I assist my friends James & Diana Flower, owners of New England Apple Fritters, at the Connecticut Fairs. This exciting experience prompted me to turn a personal dream into an actual professional endeavor and to launch American Fries.
In the Fall of 2017, I bought Mike’s Concession’s French Fry trailer from Mike and Stacia Markowitz. In the Winter of 2018, Dave Riley, owner of Stick It Graphics, wrapped the trailer. The fun and adventure begins Spring 2018!
